Insitu: contract with the Italian Navy for ScanEagle UAS aircraft delivery

(WAPA) - Insitu (a subsidiary of The Boeing Company) announced today that it has been awarded an acquisition contract with the Italian Navy for delivery of two complete ScanEagle UAS aircraft and training services. The agreement brings to six the number of ScanEagle customers in Italy, demonstrating the effort by Insitu as resource for its European purchasers.
The ScanEagle's pad, that has not need of a runway for take off or landing, has over 730,000 operating flight hours and provides continous data of ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance). It has been deployed in some of the more extreme environments in the world, starting from 2004. (Avionews)
