Washington, Usa - Trump selects Patrick Shanahan and reinforces the partnership with the military industry
(WAPA) - A Boeing's manager has been chosen by the US President Donald Trump to fulfill the role as US Defense deputy secretary. The decision has been announced yesterday and will have to to be approved by Senate. Patrick Shanahan joins Boeing in 1986 and from April of last year he is Senior Vice-President of the Supply Chain and Operations division of Boeing. In his career he has performed numerous managerial roles inside of the Group: Senior Vice-President of Airplane Programs of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Vice-President and general manager of the 787 Dreamliner airplane project from 2007 to 2008, and previously he has been Vice-President and General Manager of Missile Defense Systems of Rotorcraft Systems and of the 757 program.
He will support the Defense secretary and Marines retired general James Mattis.
Donald Trump seems to have certainly changed course, after a beginning of his mandate apparently in contrast with the two main US defense suppliers -Lockheed Martin and Boeing-. (Avionews)
