Possible cancellation of connections by airplane in England
Frost and fog reduce visibility
The cold weather recorded today could cause flights to be cancelled across England. While the temperature in the United Kingdom drops to -9 degrees, it is expected that the fog will cause the interruption of flights (and airplanes grounded) to Heathrow, Stansted and Gatwick by the current day. The meteorologists have issued a yellow code warning and one of the spokespersons of the service said: "the worst moment will be in the morning and we advise commuters to pay particular attention to the notices as there will be reduced visibility and consequent interruption of journeys".
Concerns also about possible floods due to the abundant rainfall that is breaking down in Great Britain and which will intensify on Thursday. Some areas near rivers like Bardney, around Lincoln, have been hit by floods.
