Ukrainian conflict: Russian helicopters in action

Two Mi-28s attack Ukrainian armored vehicles - VIDEO

The Russian Defense Ministry released a footage today showing the moments when two attack helicopter, a Mil Mi-28N and a Mi-28UB, destroyed some Ukrainian armored vehicles with the use of guided missiles. "The air attack was launched in pairs from a distance of five kilometers. The result was recorded by means of surveillance systems on board the aircraft", reads the Russian ministry's website.

The operation was conducted by the Army Air Force in the course of a special military mission. These are helicopters that perform various tasks: from air combat to escorting ground vehicles, through attacking enemy armored vehicles, as well as destroying troop supplies and armaments.
