Another strike at Helsinki airport today: disruptions announced, tomorrow too
Finnair alone has cancelled about 100 flight connections in these hours. Arms crossed also on the 16th

After the strike last May 2, the four-hour strike announced in recent days by the Finnish Aviation Union (IAU) - the union that brings together employees of the Finnish aviation sector- ends today at Helsinki airport, which is also the hub of the national carrier Finnair, which in these hours alone has made about 100 cancellations involving 7,500 passengers, as stated in a note. These passengers have been offered an alternative flight, as assured by the airline's operations director, Jaakko Schildt.
Following the protests on May 5, Finavia, the airport operator, informs that airport operations will be gradually restarted, and the effects of the shutdown will also cause disruption tomorrow, May 6, when occasional queues at security checks and delays in baggage handling could occur.
Meanwhile, the IAU has announced a similar industrial action for Friday on May 16: passengers have been warned.
