The Director General of ENAC (Italian Civil Aviation Authority), Alexander D'Orsogna, took part today in Brussels in the 63rd meeting of the Provisional Council of Eurocontrol, the intergovernmental organization that manages air navigation over the skies of the European continent.
Together with the newly appointed DG D'Orsogna (see for details AVIONEWS), who participated for the first time, the Central Director of Coordination of International Relations, Security and Research, Giovanna Laschena, also attended the sessions.
Numerous topics were discussed among representatives of the 42 member States who followed the proceedings, including an update on the Strategy Refresh, presented by Eurocontrol DG Raul Medina Caballero, outlining the main initiatives of the "Raising the Bar" program: a project aimed at further modernizing technologies and performance to deliver an increasingly efficient service, with the objective of eliminating delays and improving the travel experience, starting from the current traffic season, Summer 2025.
The committees and working groups within Eurocontrol then presented their thematic reports on the activities carried out and approved their recommendations.
