President Donald Trump announced this morning on his "Truth" platform the nomination of transportation secretary Sean Duffy as acting Nasa administrator. "Sean is doing an extraordinary job managing our country's transportation affairs, including creating state-of-the-art air traffic control systems, while also rebuilding our roads and bridges, making them efficient and beautiful again", the US President wrote.

"Honored to accept this mission. It's time to conquer space. Let's launch", Duffy replied on "X." The new administrator replaces Jared Isaacman, whose appointment was revoked by the American president at the end of May, justifying this action as "a careful review of previous collaborations", according to American press reports. Isaacman has traveled to space several times with Elon Musk, with whom he has developed a close relationship. Regarding this aspect, Trump stated in a post: "I thought it was inappropriate for a close friend of Elon's, who worked in the space industry, to lead Nasa, when Nasa is such an important part of his corporate life".
