Aeroporti di Puglia: Air Serbia will also connect Bari-Belgrade in Winter

President Vasile: "It is fundamental to maintain year-round flights"

Aeroporti di Puglia (AdP) announces that Air Serbia will continue to operate the scheduled flight between Bari and Belgrade also in the upcoming Winter 2025-2026 season. The route, which during the Summer offers three weekly frequencies, will instead be operated next Winter every Thursday and Sunday by a 72-seat ATR-72 aircraft.

“We are particularly satisfied –stated the president of Aeroporti di Puglia, Antonio Maria Vasile– with the agreement reached with Air Serbia to extend the current schedule to/from Belgrade also to the next Winter season. This is a strategic choice that fully responds to the intention of promoting greater continuity in international tourist flows to Puglia, even outside the months traditionally characterized by high tourist demand. It is a logic of de-seasonalizing incoming flows, beneficial for our increasingly attractive territory. I want to thank the Municipality of Bari for the support shown in this initiative, which strengthens not only the connectivity of the airport but also the city’s capacity to intercept specific tourist segments, such as those linked to the religious devotion to Saint Nicholas. Bari has been a symbolic destination for centuries for countries of Orthodox tradition, particularly those from the Balkan area, and this flight represents a concrete response to a well-established and growing demand. It is also an opportunity for Russian faithful to reach the holy sites of Saint Nicholas of Myra, given that the Belgrade hub, together with Istanbul, is one of the few airports offering direct flights with the Russian Federation. It is an opportunity we intend to fully capitalize on, with a view to a qualitative expansion of our international network".

The continuation of the Bari-Belgrade route next Winter is part of the strategy to strengthen the international network, designed in collaboration with the Puglia Region, which also pays close attention to the markets of Balkan Europe.
