Italian Foreign Ministry. Antonio Tajani in Paris for a meeting on Gaza
Participation of the E4, Arab quintet, EU and four other countries

The Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, will be in Paris today to take part in a meeting of foreign ministers on the implementation of the US peace plan.
The meeting will see the participation of the E4 (Italy, France, Germany and the UK), the Arab quintet (Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Qatar), together with Indonesia, Turkey, Spain, Canada and the European Union.
In line with the results achieved in New York within the Conference on the Two-State Solution, the meeting aims to agree on joint actions to provide a concrete contribution to the US peace plan, consolidating support for mediation efforts led by the United States, Qatar and Egypt after the important outcome achieved yesterday that saw Israel and Hamas sign the first phase of the peace plan.
The meeting will be an opportunity to reaffirm Italy’s commitment to the implementation of the peace plan presented by President Trump and to a credible political horizon for ending the war in Gaza, through an immediate ceasefire, the release of hostages and full humanitarian assistance in the Strip. “Italy offers to contribute to the future governance and security arrangements of Gaza, working on the disarmament process of Hamas and taking part in the stabilization and reconstruction of the Gaza Strip. Our objective is to support the two-state solution, laying the foundations for the creation of a future Palestinian State that coexists in peace and security with Israel” the minister declared.
Among the items on the agenda of the Paris meeting are an update on the ceasefire and the release of hostages after the agreement reached in Sharm el-Sheikh, and the timing and modalities for implementing the subsequent phases of Trump's peace plan.
