Aeroporti di Puglia: Bari-NY service from May operated by United

Vasile: “Opportunities for unique development are opening up for Apulia"

"A result made possible thanks to the synergies with the regional structures", adds the president of AdP

Aeroporti di Puglia (AdP) announces that, from next May 1, United Airlines will operate a four-times-weekly air link between Bari and New York, Newark Airport.

The service is scheduled as follows:

Bari–New York (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) departure 9:45am arrival 2:00pm

New York–Bari (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday) departure 4:45pm arrival 7:45am (next day).

“This is news of extraordinary value – declared the chairman of Aeroporti di Puglia, Antonio Maria Vasile-. A giant of commercial aviation worldwide, part of an alliance that includes some of the most important international carriers, is decisively investing in the Apulian market and does so with a schedule that would have been unthinkable only a few months ago. Unique development opportunities open up for Puglia, for its tourism industry and for the entrepreneurial network. This choice is not accidental given the flattering results obtained in the first year of operation of the route with the US metropolis and the growing number of American citizens who favor Puglia for a holiday focused on culture, history and the finest popular traditions. We continue to reap the fruits of a strategic planning that identified overseas markets as crucial points for traffic development and that has already achieved significant successes”.

"I feel a strong duty to thank the Regional Government, the Transport and Tourism departments, the regional departments and structures and the management and staff of Aeroporti di Puglia", the chairman concluded, "For the trust placed in our actions aimed at developing connections and at the qualification and enhancement of civil and aeronautical infrastructures, which have become increasingly attractive, also in terms of operational efficiency, for the largest players in global air transport”.
