ITA Airways-MAECI: MoU to develop a strategic partnership
Working Together to Promote and Strengthen the Italy System
ITA Airways is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum ofUnderstanding (MoU) with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), aimed at developing a strategic partnership to promote the Italy System, enhance the country’s attractiveness, and support traffic flows to and from Italy.
The Memorandum –signed by ITA Airways Chairman Sandro Pappalardo and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani duringthe Conference of Italian Consuls Around the World held today at the Farnesina – identifies several key areas of cooperation. These include growth diplomacy through the exchange ofinformation useful for route development and the internationalization of Italy’s economic system; sports diplomacy, including the possibility of preferential fares for individuals involved in international sporting initiatives; and joint participation in conferences, forums, trade fairs, and promotional events in Italy and abroad.
The agreement also provides for the possibility of introducing special fares for initiativespromoted by MAECI, as well as sharing studies, analyses, and statistics on market trends,international demand, sustainability, and workforce development.
