VIRGIN EXPRESS REPORTS HIGH LOSSES IN 2000
DUBLIN, Virgin Express reported a pre-tax loss of €65.3 million for 2000. Pre-tax loss reached €5.5 million in 1999. Such a negative result is due to high fuel prices, US dollar strength and the closing down of stations in Shannon, Gatwick and Berlin.
