PSA Airlines flight JIA5342, a Bombardier CRJ-701ER (N709PS), and a US Army Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter collided in midair and crashed into the Potomac River near Washington-Ronald Reagan National Airport, DC (DCA).
There were 64 occupants on board the plane and the three soldiers in the Army helicopter, for a total of 67 people, according to American Airlines and a US defense official reported it.
The CRJ-701ER was on a night time final approach to runway 33 at DCA at the time.
