Discover Airlines (Lufthansa) activates air connection from Salento to Germany

Starting next June, the biweekly Brindisi-Frankfurt route will take off

Aeroporti di Puglia announces that Discover Airlines, part of the Lufthansa Group, will operate a twice-weekly connection between Brindisi and Frankfurt starting from June 2026. This is a seasonal route active from June 9 to October 23.

The carrier, already present for several years in Bari, expands and strengthens its presence in the region by connecting an area of excellence for the Apulian tourism industry. “Our efforts to enrich the range of connections, especially international ones, from Brindisi continue", stated the president of Aeroporti di Puglia, Antonio Maria Vasile. “Salento Airport represents a strategic infrastructure for the airport network and for Apulia, especially for the tourism industry of southern Apulia. The German market has indeed always been one of the most important for this area of our region, and this additional flight can only bring further benefits".

The president concludes: “With this new connection, we provide a concrete response to the demand for greater air mobility advocated by the territory. Furthermore, the availability of this flight will translate into an advantage also for the business world and for the Apulian community well-rooted and integrated within the large German city. An added value is also represented by the carrier’s network from Frankfurt, which enables onward connections to Canada, the United States, Asia, and Africa, as well as those of Lufthansa and the other Star Alliance companies, of which Discover Airlines is a part".
