Attacks. Alitalia today operates 12 special airplane flights to and from Liege
Rome, Italy - Replacing Brussels services; rebooking and refunding options extended to April 3
Alitalia will strengthen efforts to provide all necessary assistance to passengers affected by the closure of Brussels-Zaventem airport following the terrorist attacks in Brussels. Throughout 24 March and the morning of 25 March, the Company will move its aircraft flights originally scheduled to and from the Belgian capital to Liege (a Belgian town south-east of Brussels), providing twelve special flights to and from Rome and Milan. Its staff usually based in Brussels will assist passengers at the Liege airport. The airline has also extended until 3 April the rebooking and refunding options.
The carrier will operate the following twelve flights to and from Liege:
· AZ 4012 Rome-Fiumicino/Liege (departure at 8:20am)
· AZ 4013 Liege/Rome-Fiumicino (departure at 11:30am)
· AZ 4014 Rome-Fiumicino/Liege (departure at 3:00pm)
· AZ 4015 Liege/Rome-Fiumicino (departure at 6:10pm)
· AZ 4024 Rome-Fiumicino/Liege (departure at 3:35am in the night between March 24 and 25)
· AZ 4025 Liege/Rome-Fiumicino (departure on March 25 at 6:45am)
· AZ 4016 Milan-Linate/Liege (departure at 7:00am)
· AZ 4019 Liege/Milan-Linate (departure at 9:25am)
· AZ 4020 Milan-Linate/Liege (departure at 12:55pm)
· AZ 4021 Liege/Milan-Linate (departure at 3:20pm)
· AZ 4022 Milan-Linate/Liege (departure at 5:45pm)
· AZ 4023 Liege-Milan/Linate (departure at 8:10pm).
Following the updated re-booking policy for Brussels flights: in case of flight cancellation or delay by more than 5 hours, all passengers who purchased a ticket with departure date within 3 April are eligible to ask for full refund. If they purchased a ticket with departure date within 3 April and may need to change their travel arrangements, Alitalia will offer them re-booking or re-routing options free of charge.
The airline will keep travelers informed with updates about its flight status information to and from Brussels both on its website and social media platforms.
