France: strike tomorrow; aviation sector marginally affected

Flights reduced especially at Paris-Beauvais, but interruptions and delays expected at all French airports

DGAC, the French Directorate General for Civil Aviation, says that several trade union federations have filed a national interprofessional strike notice for the public and private sectors, valid for Thursday 2 October 2025, in metropolitan France and overseas.

Disruptions to air traffic are expected to remain limited. DGAC will apply the minimum service requirements for air navigation services only at Paris-Beauvais Airport (where low-cost carriers such as Ryanair and Wizz Air mainly operate), where permitted by regulation.

DGAC has asked airlines to reduce their flight schedules by 30% for the entire day at Paris-Beauvais Airport. Despite these preventive measures, disruptions and delays are still expected at all French airports. The authority urges passengers to contact their airline to check the status of their flight before travelling to the airport.
