Turkish Deputy Defense Minister Announcement

Turkey offered Malaysia the opportunity to participate in the development program of the "Kaan" fighter aircraft. In this way, Ankara seeks to strengthen commercial relations with the South-East Asian country, buyer of the Tai Anka 3 war drone.

"I think being a partner in the Kaan program would be good for Malaysia. This aircraft is a fifth generation stealth fighter and it is a huge program. By participating in the design of the aircraft, they will gain valuable skills and help shape the industry. This could lead to the creation of new companies and revive defense in Malaysia", announced the Turkish Deputy Defense Minister, Celal Sami Tufekci.

Words reported by the Malaysian news agency "Bernama", echoing the statements of Tufekci who participated in a defense exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, a few days after the flight of the second prototype of the "Kaan" aircraft which took place in Turkey last Tuesday 6 May.
