Lufthansa Group Manager succeeds Christina Foerster

The holding company that controls flag carrier Brussels Airlines (Lufthansa Group) is expected to have a new chairman soon: he is Dieter Vranckx, who will take over the reins of the board of SN Airholding, which owns 100 percent of the airline's share capital. The new chairman will succeed Christina Foerster. It was reported by the information site "Md80.it", relaying a communication from the European airline.

"Brussels Airlines has been an important part of my career and I am happy to return as chairman to the board of SN Airholding. It is wonderful to see how far the airline has come and what an exciting future this airline has ahead of it", was the comment by Vranckx.

Vranckx was born in 1973. He obtained an engineering diploma and a master's degree in Business Administration. He began his aviation career in 1998 at the Société Anonyme Belge d'Exploitation de la Navigation (Sabena). After various experiences at Swiss Air and Lufthansa, he joined Brussels Airlines in 2018, becoming CEO of Swiss in 2021.
