Four Italian UNIFIL soldiers injured in southern Lebanon

Their conditions are not serious

A new attack this morning on the UNIFIL headquarters in southern Lebanon, after the one last Tuesday, when five soldiers from the UN Interposition Force were involved.

The base was hit by rocket attacks, believed to have been launched by Hezbollah. At the moment, there are reports of 4 Italian soldiers injured. Official sources confirm the injuries, adding that their conditions are not critical.

The competent authorities are conducting thorough investigations to clarify the sequence of events and responsibilities.
