Avolon orders 90 Airbus aircraft

Between A-330neo and A-321neo models

Avolon, a global aviation finance company, has placed an order for 90 Airbus aircraft, comprising 15 A-330neo and 75 A-321neo. This incremental order brings Avolon’s total to 79 A-330neos and 264 A-321neos.

Powered by the latest generation Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines, the A-330/900 has a range of 7,200nm / 13,300 km non-stop and reduces fuel burn, CO2 emissions and operating cost by 25% compared to the previous generation aircraft.

The A-321neo is the largest member of Airbus’ best-selling A320neo Family. By incorporating new generation engines and Sharklets, this model neo brings a noise reduction and fuel savings and CO₂ reduction.

As with all in-production aircraft, these two models are able to operate with up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), with a target to increase to up to 100% SAF capability by 2030.
