Aeroporti di Puglia (AdP): the Bari–Nantes flight resumes from April, operated by Transavia

Vasile (President): "After the pandemic it was necessary to resume the air connection"

Bari will be connected to Nantes from next April 9. The flight, operated by Transavia, will expand the international network of the "‘Karol Wojtyla" and respond to an ever-growing demand to and from France. The connection will be operated twice a week, every Thursday and Sunday until October 22.

“The resumption of the route announced in 2019 and suspended due to Covid – the president of Aeroporti di Puglia, Antonio Maria Vasile declared it– is an important sign of resilience and of the great work we are carrying out. This restart responds to a growing demand to and from France, a fundamental market for our international network. Thanks to this flight, passengers will once again be able to enjoy a convenient, fast and direct connection, strengthening relations and links between Apulia and France. We are convinced that this connection represents a key element in our international expansion strategy and in the enlargement of our network, which is enriched with one more opportunity for all business and leisure travellers. This is just the beginning of a new chapter that we are excited to experience together with our passengers and which is the result of a planned analysis in cooperation with the Apulia Region”.

Nantes-Atlantique airport is located just under 15 kilometres from the city centre, reachable either by shuttle bus in about 20 minutes, or by bus, tram and taxi. The flight will be operated by one of the carrier’s 40 B-737/800 airplanes, with a capacity of 189 passengers, or by one of the seven brand-new A-321neo aircraft with 232 seats.
