Aircraft and transport: strike tomorrow for 24 hours in Italy

Air transport may be disrupted tomorrow due to 13 strikes called for either 24-hour or 4-hour periods in Italy. Wizz Air Malta Limited flight crews, airline, airport, and related airport workers, and Volotea staff will be on strike for 24 hours. Staff from Assohandlers member handling companies operating at Italian airports will strike from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The most affected airports are Milan-Linate and Milan-Malpensa.
Among the reasons for the mobilization are the demand for better working conditions and support for the Palestinian population. The unions involved are Ost Cub Trasporti, Filt-Cgil, Ors Usb Lavoro privato, Adl Varese, Uilt-Uil, Flai Trasporti e servizi, and Ors Ugl-Ta.
The scheduled services from 7:00am to 10:00am and from 6:00pm to 9:00pm are guaranteed, as well as other services indicated by Enac (Italian national civil aviation authority). No disruptions are expected in other transport sectors.
