Aircraft and transport. Vueling flight attendants strike the day after tomorrow
For four hours, from 1pm to 5pm, Filt Cgil reports it

On Wednesday, October 29 an Italian 4-hour strike, from 1 pm to 5 pm, by the cabin crew of Vueling Airlines. This was reported by Filt Cgil, regarding the protest called with the professional association Anpac “in consideration of the failure to resolve the serious critical issues concerning compliance with contractual obligations, the rights and the interests of the company's Italian workers", reads a statement.
“In particular, at the root of the strike —explains the CGIL Transport Federation— there are, among other reasons, the failure to respect certain articles of the company agreement and a lack of transparency by the carrier in the systematic use of foreign staff on Italian territory. All the more so now, given that last September, just one month after the close of the contract renewal, a plan was launched to reduce personnel at the Rome–Fiumicino base, without offering the possibility of maintaining the same conditions at the carrier’s growing foreign bases. The dismissal procedure is currently revoked thanks to trade union initiatives".
“However, this is a condition at Vueling that still finds no resolution —concludes Filt Cgil— and for these reasons the company must initiate a healthy dialogue in order to reduce the impact on workers of the choices made to reduce staff and to disinvest from Italy".
