ITA Airways, Italy's national flag carrier, will accompany Pope Leo XIV on his Apostolic Journey to France.

The flight carrying the Holy Father will depart from Fiumicino Airport on 25 September at 07:50 am, bound for Paris-Orly Airport, where it is scheduled to land at 10:00 am.

For this occasion, ITA Airways will operate an A-321neo aircraft.. Featuring the longest fuselage in the single-aisle A-320 Family, the A-321neo significantly reduces environmental impact compared to previous-generation aircraft, thanks to fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions per seatthat are over 20% lower, as well as a 50% reduction in noise footprint.

Welcoming the Holy Father on the apron at Rome-Fiumicino Airport on 25 September will be ITA Airways Chairman Sandro Pappalardo. Captain Fabio Polloni will oversee the flight and onboard operations; the crew will consist of 10 members, including 3 pilots and 7 flight attendants, supported by the ITA Airways team dedicated to special flights. As customary, representatives of the Italian and international media will travel with Pope Leo XIV, together with the Papal delegation.
