EADS AND DASSAULT PULL OUT OF BIDDING FOR CONTRACT FOR THE CZECH AIR FORCE

PRAGUE, Czech Defence Ministry spokesman Milan Repka said that Eads and Dassault Aviation pulled out of Czech fighter contract bidding. Boeing and Lockheed Martin announced their withdrawal too. Therefore BAe Systems is the only company bidding to supply the fighters, its Jas-39 Gripen aircraft, as replacements for the Czech military's Mig-21s and Sukhoi.
