Czech parliament green light for 24 Gripen acquisition

Prague, Czech Republic - They are 20 single seat and 4 training two-seat aircraft

The Czech parliament has approved the acquisition of 24 Saab Jas-39 Gripen combat aircraft for its Air Force, according to the Ctk agency. The acquisition worth about 2 EURbn, and includes 20 single seat and 4 training two seat aircraft. Deliveries will start on 2004. The acquisition has to be yet approved by Senate. (Gio/B)
