Boeing awarded an order to upgrade Navy's E-6s

Seattle, Usa - The operation to involve 15 planes

American Navy has delegated Boeing for the activity of upgrading of its fleet of E-6 Mercury in order to change the cockpit instrumentation from analog to digital. The contract has a value of USD 150m and will regard 15 of these aircraft which would have to be given back to the Navy not later than the end of 2004.
