Goodrich and General Electric to produce engine system for the new Japanese C-X

Charlotte, USA - The first flight of this airlifter to perform in 2007

General Electric CF6-80C2 engine' nacelle will be produced by Goodrich, as these engines are going to be fitted on the new Japanese airlifter related to the C-X programme. Japanese Government has scheduled to purchase some 40 airplanes while its first flight should occur in 2007. This new aircraft will enter service only by 2011. The selected engine is the same of 747 and 767.
