"In recent years, Iran has produced enough highly enriched uranium for nine atomic bombs. It has taken measures never seen before, measures to turn this enriched uranium into a weapon, and if it is not stopped, it could produce a nuclear threat in a very short time. "We have struck at the heart of Iran's nuclear weapons program and the heart of Iran's ballistic missile program"" he added, speaking of the missiles developed by Iran that could carry a nuclear payload of "10,000 tons of Tnt" that could fall "on a country the size of New Jersey": "a new plan to destroy Israel" that Iran is working on. In a subsequent speech, the prime minister warned the Israeli population of the risk of having to spend extended periods in air raid shelters, given the expected retaliatory strike by Iran. He advised them to make sure they have enough supplies, food and clothing.

In response to the Israeli attacks, Iran's supreme leader Ali Khamenei said on "X": "That Zionist regime should expect severe punishment. By the grace of God, the mighty arm of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic will not leave them unpunished".
