Netanyahu's speech at the UN

Israeli PM: "Israel is doing everyone's dirty work" /VIDEO

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the United Nations General Assembly this afternoon, before a nearly empty hall amid boos and protests: before his speech, several Un delegates left the conference in protest.

"Israel must finish the job, as quickly as possible", Netanyahu declared, referring to the war in Gaza. Israel therefore has no intention of stopping, but of continuing to fight. In his speech, the prime minister repeatedly referred to the massacre of October 7, 2023, which he also wanted to remind everyone of by wearing a Qr code on his jacket with a link to images of the event. A tool to remember "why we are fighting and why we must win", he said. According to the prime minister, "90% of Palestinians support the October 7 attack; they celebrate it by dancing". "Killing Jews pays off" he said, referring to those who consider the country's reaction disproportionate, as well as making his own intentions clear.

"Lay down your weapons, free the hostages now. If you leave them, you will live. Otherwise, Israel will persecute you. If Hamas accepts, the war ends now" he declared, addressing the terrorist organization. And to the Israeli hostages directly: "The people of Israel are with you, until we bring you all home".

Netanyahu also thanked Us president Donald Trump "for his courageous actions" and for understanding that what Israel is fighting is "a common threat" that also involves the West. For this reason, he asked for the support of all Western countries, to whom he addressed the issue, stating: "To weather the storm, you must stand with Israel, but you are not". "Israel is doing the dirty work for everyone" he added.
