Fast-Consal Air Transport: strike today at AdR airports Fiumicino and Ciampino

The industrial action by all employees of the airport operator, called for from 12:00pm to 4:00pm

Fast-Confsal Air Transport proclaims a national strike of all employees of AdR – Aeroporti di Roma, following the negative outcome of the conciliation procedures provided for by Law 146/90.

The reasons for the action

The renewal of the national contract for airport operators unfortunately marks a serious step backwards for workers in the sector, reports a union statement. After three years of waiting the promises have turned into disappointment:

- Three years of lost pay have been erased, with the economic effective date limited to only 1 January 2025, despite the 2022 expiry;

- No real improvement in regulatory conditions and organizational well-being;

- No attention to work–life balance and to the recognition of the staff who each day ensure the safety and quality of service at Italian airports.

"In a sector in full recovery, with positive balance sheets and consolidated profits, it is unacceptable that workers continue to be the balancing item for others' accounts. Work is not an expense to be compressed: it is the engine that moves the airport system. And it deserves respect, recognition and dignity", the statement underlines.

The work stoppage is taking place today, Monday 13 October 2025, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, "in full compliance with current regulations and the minimum services guaranteed by ENAC (Italian Civil Aviation Authority) and by the Guarantee Commission. Fast‑Confsal will stand by the workers with coherence and determination, to demand contractual fairness, pay justice and a trade‑union representation free from conditioning. Because the value of work cannot be erased", concludes the press release.
