Air France: 35 years of the Bologna-Paris air connection
It was the first city in Italy to welcome the Concorde airplane in 1987

It was 1990 when Air France began linking the city of Paris with Bologna. From that moment, millions of customers have boarded its aircraft to reach the "Dotta" from the "Ville Lumière" cities or to continue their journey through the Group's hub.
On this occasion, the Italian management of the Group and that of Aeroporti di Bologna were also present.
From the Concorde to the A-220
Bologna was the first city in Italy to host Air France's Concorde airplane. It was 18 April 1987 when, at the request of a private company, Air France operated a charter flight between Bologna and Paris using its most iconic aircraft. This event generated great interest, attracting thousands of people to the airport.
Today, the Paris "CdG"/Bologna route is operated by Airbus plane including the A-220, the jewel of Air France's short- to medium-haul fleet. Thanks to reduced CO2 emissions and a lower noise impact, the model confirms itself as an important asset for the French carrier within the fleet renewal program to improve its economic and environmental performance.
