Japan successfully test-fired the engine of its "Akatsuki" space probe

Tokyo, Japan - It will be sent around Venus

The Japanese Space Exploration Agency (JAXA) announced the successful test on the engine of its space probe "Akatsuki"; the test was run yesterday and was intended to last for 2 seconds according to the agency's program: the probe should be launched in 2015 to enter into orbit around the planet Venus and observe the atmosphere and volcanoes. A probe "Akatsuki" had already been launched in May 2010...
