Austrian Air cuts 100 jobs

Vienna, Austria - The carrier expects to save EUR 3m though its measure

Austrian national carrier, Austrian Airlines, announced that it will cut 100 jobs into its organic, which means 10 per cent of its force-work composed of 7,500 employees. The carrier disclosed that the measure is due to the necessity to cut costs in order to face up overcapacity in Europe, low-cost airlines competion and high fuel costs. The carrier expects to save EUR 3m by means of the action.
