California, USA - First on-orbit signals received

Yesterday 19 January 2012, the fourth Boeing Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS-4) satellite, the first spacecraft in the program's upgraded "Block II" was launched into orbit after having successfully completed pre-launch testing. It was launched aboard a "United Launch Alliance Delta IV" vehicle from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, in Florida, and the first on-orbit signals have already been received....
