Iraqi Airways restarts Baghdad-Mumbai air route after 21 years

Baghdad, Iraq - Two weekly flights as of Friday

Air links between Baghdad and Mumbai will restart this week, after a 21 year long disruption, started because of the international sanctions imposed as a consequence of the Kuwait invasion by Saddam Hussein's army in August 1990. Iraqi Airways spokesman Akram Louaybi said that, starting from Friday 27 April 2012, the two cities will be linked by two weekly flights. Sources of the Indian embassy...
