Gale Crater, Mars - "Seven minutes of terror"

Curiosity, the 2 USD billion rover built by NASA (the US space agency), landed today on the surface of the Red Planet. Great celebrations between the US and ESA's scientists (the European Space Agency, which support the mission from the orbit, AVIONEWS) after "Seven minutes of terror" during which no data were sent by the rover until the landing. Now Curiosity systems will be deployed one by one....
