NASA commits astronauts transport to two private industries

Washington, USA - Thanks to the contract with Boeing and SpaceX, the American space agency will no more be dependent on Russia for this service

NASA will transport crew on the International Space Station using American spacecraft once again from 2017. The agency’s sole reliance on Russia (that began with the Space Shuttle’s retirement in 2011) will end thanks to two American space taxis: Boeing CST-100 and SpaceX Falcon9/Crew Dragon.
