China is preparing a colossal military parade
The 70th anniversary of the People's Republic of China in Beijing on October 1st
According to international sources China will present its most technologically advanced weapons in Beijing on October 1st, which has defined itself as the "largest military parade in history" to celebrate its seventieth anniversary of its foundation. At the same time, the authorities will also organize a civil parade involving more than 100,000 people and Chinese President Xi Jinping will give "an important speech" to the Nation during the commemoration.
China has already organized major military demonstrations to commemorate the end of the Second World War and the 60 years of the People's Republic of China, but General Cai Zhijun, a member of the Army General Staff, said that this parade will be monumental.
Every time the great powers announce military maneuvers of any kind, they are able to make the world tremble: Beijing is facing growing tensions in Hong Kong and a trade war with the United States that threatens to engulf the international economy, but Cai reiterated that the parade is only a demonstration and it has not aggressive objective because the Chinese Army is "committed to safeguarding world peace and regional stability".
