China. MA-700 plane: first flight in 2020
It will have an integrated avionics system and a "fly-by-wire" flight control platform
The new Chinese Xian MA-700 aircraft produced by the company Xian Aircraft Industrial Corporation of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) could make its first flight by 2020. Xian MA-700, an aerodynamic design aircraft, with 70 seats (but can accommodate up to 86 passengers) with Chinese-made PW150C turboprop engine, it has been designed to serve short and medium-distance routes. The new aircraft will have an integrated avionics system and a fly-by-wire flight control platform. Now in the final assembly phase, it belongs to the family of regional turboprop aircraft "Modern Ark", produced in the province of Shaanxi in the north-west of the country and could reach a maximum speed of 637 km per hour. The goal is to serve 95% of Chinese airports, excluding the highest in Tibet. AVIC plans to apply for airworthiness certification to the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) so that it can enter the western market.
