The name is that of the founder of SolarStratos, a project aimed at flying a solar-powered plane into the stratosphere for the first time. This morning, on Tuesday August 25, 2020, he launched himself from an experimental aircraft, the first human being to do that in history. It is a plane that recharges only with solar energy and the take-off took place at 7:40 am from a small Swiss airport, while the launch that took place near Payerne.
Once Domjan reached 1520 meters, he launched himself up to a maximum speed of over 150 kilometers per hour, before landing in front of an audience of guests who awaited him with emotion.
