Units: 28 between A-220, A-320neos and A-330neos, plus max 56 leased for short, medium and long haul
Airbus confirms the agreement for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) announced by the new Italian airline ITA for the purchase of new Airbus family aircraft that will become part of its future fleet. The agreement includes 28 aircraft purchased directly from Airbus, including 7 A-220, 11 A-320neos and 10 A-330neos, as well as separate agreements for up to 56 leased Airbus aircraft with a mix of short, medium and long haul.
“ITA carried out an accurate assessment of the aircraft and chose Airbus for all segments of the fleet -Christian Scherer, Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Airbus International of the Toulouse industry said it-. This is very rewarding and is a testament to the great value of the Airbus product range. The agreement sets a benchmark in the progression towards decarbonisation and efficiency. From the beginning, we have worked closely with ITA listening carefully to their needs. Today we are proud and grateful to be alongside ITA in building its future together".
