VIRGIN ATLANTIC IN TALKS FOR BOEING SONIC CRUISER
LONDON, Virgin's Chairman Richard Branson yesterday met with Boeing officials to begin talks with the aerospace industry for an order of at least three Sonic Cruiser jets. The aircraft, currently developed by Boeing, should travel about 20 percent faster than existing commercial jets of the same type. "I truly believe this airplane will change the way the world flies" said Branson.
