Italian ENAV: contract signed with the Qatar Aviation Authority

The company supports the Country for the "Fifa World Cup"

ENAV (Italian Flight Assistance company), as part of its non-regulated business, has signed a contract with the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority to support Qatar's air traffic management during the "2022 FIFA World Cup", scheduled from 21 November to 18 December.

In addition to the activities during the World Cup, the ENAV Group will assist the Qatari aviation in the set-up and management of the new airspace region of Qatar. In particular, technical and operational consultancy activities are envisaged to provide air navigation services on the Qatari airspace and to train air traffic controllers.

The contract, in partnership with Fusion Technology Trading, will have a duration of 12 months, for a total maximum amount of € 19.1 million, of which € 10.1 million for the ENAV Group.

The CEO Paolo Simioni said: "We are really proud of this contract, which represents an important result in our strategy to expand the commercial perimeter of ENAV Group. Supporting the Qatari authorities during the World Cup and deploying Qatar's airspace will be a challenge that we will be fully up to, thanks to the capability of our professionals, interpreters of ENAV's technological excellence that Italy is able to express".
