Ukrainian conflict: 4,000 civilians killed

UN denounces after three months of war

The United Nations (UN) Human Rights Organization reported today that the civilian casualties in the Russian-Ukrainian war are at least 3998 (updated figure as of Wednesday, May 25), while there are at least 4693 wounded civilians. This is the tally for three months of war, calculated from February 24, the day the Russian armed invasion of Ukraine began.

However, the agency stressed that it believes the actual figures are much higher, the local newspaper "Kiev Independent" reported. Meanwhile, according to daily monitoring carried out by the British news agency "Reuters", at least 46,390 deaths have been recorded and about 14 million people have been displaced, while the damage amounts to 600 billion dollars. 

Ukraine's Armed Forces General Staff reports that Russia, in three months of the war, lost 29,750 troops, 1322 tanks, 3246 armored vehicles, 623 artillery systems, 206 aircraft, 170 helicopters, 503 drones, and 13 naval ships and vessels. For its part, Moscow calculates that Kiev lost a total of 180 aircraft, 127 helicopters, 1027 drones, 3281 tanks and other armored vehicles, 1693 artillery pieces and mortars.
