The Frascati (near Rome) branch of the European Space Agency (Esa) is participating in the Berlin Internationale Luft und Raumfahrtausstellung ("Ila"), better known as the "Berlin Air Show", held in the German capital from Wednesday, June 22, through Sunday, June 26. Also visiting was German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who inaugurated the opening of the exhibition space with a 360-degree reflection on the aerospace and defense sector. 

The space pavilion will be a place where visitors can learn about the latest programs, missions and technologies of European industry companies. The booth will also highlight future business opportunities for the global industry, focusing on sustainability and climate change, digitization, innovation, research and space security.

Earth observation and the use of data for climate, meteorology and natural disaster management will be discussed. Tomorrow, June 23, meeting with Esa operations director Rolf Densing to talk about civilian aspects of protection and security: from space debris to planetary defense. During the weekend, the pavilion will host discussions at which astronaut Matthias Maurer, who recently returned from the Cosmic Kiss mission to the International Space Station (Iss), will also be present.
