Morocco bets on Collins Aerospace ecosystem
Agreement signed for creation

Morocco's Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, signed an agreement with US-based Collins Aerospace these days to create an aerospace ecosystem. It involves the establishment of a procurement platform with suppliers. The agreement, signed by Vice President of Corporate Supply Chain, Kristopher Pinnow, was signed at the "Farnborough Air Show" (July 18-22).
"The birth of this new ecosystem, supported by the global industry giant, is the culmination of a successful strategic partnership that opens great horizons for aerospace development in Morocco. Collins will contribute to the transfer of know-how to local operators, job creation for our youth and the country's efforts to keep up with global trends for sustainable manufacturing", said the Moroccan minister.
By 2032, Collins Aerospace's ecosystem in Morocco is estimated to employ 800 people and generate 1 billion dollars in revenue. The US company has had a presence in the North African country since 2011 through its subsidiary Ratier Figeac Maroc, based at Casablanca's Nouaceur Airport.
