Lot purchases six B-737 MAX airplanes

The Polish airline's fleet will rise to 12 units by the end of the month

The Polish carrier Lot Polish Airlines announced that it has signed an agreement with the leasing company Air Lease Corporation (Alc) for the long-term leasing of 6 B-737 MAX 8 aircraft, the smaller of the two variants currently certified for use. commercial. This agreement constitutes the latest development of a working relationship that has lasted for years.

"We are selecting a new fleet in the regional and narrow-body segment. Until a supplier is selected we plan to purchase aircraft as a bridge solution. The first Embraer 175 and 190 aircraft have already joined the Polish Airlines fleet, and it will soon be followed by the Boeing 737 MAX 8. I am very pleased to see these reliable and affordable aircraft complete our single aisle fleet", said Chief Operating Officer of Lot Air Carrier Maciej Wilk.

This agreement will bring the Polish airline's fleet to 12 aircraft, doubling the current number of aircraft in service. The delivery, they say, is expected within a few weeks and should become operational by the end of this month.
