Iberia offers again its Summer flights from Olbia and Catania

The carrier will consolidate its post-pandemic recovery

Iberia will consolidate its post-pandemic recovery in the Summer of 2023, focusing on its long-haul markets: Latin America and the United States, a wider flight schedule and restarting its Summer routes from Europe.

For the airline industry, the Summer season begins on March 25th and runs until October 28th, six months in which the carrier's main focus will be on Latin America. Following the recovery of its entire network of destinations, the airline has programmed capacity increases in its most strategic markets in this region, flying to 18 destinations in 16 countries.

Daily Flights from Olbia and Catania

Once again, Iberia will resume all its Summer routes in the coming months and fly directly from Olbia and Catania to Madrid from June to September, connecting these two cities with its entire network of destinations (113 destinations in 42 countries).

From Olbia, in August, the busiest month, Iberia will fly four times a week. The route will be operated by an A-320 aircraft with a capacity for 180 passengers.

These Summer destinations complement the regular operation of Iberia from Italy with direct flights from Rome, Milan, Naples, Turin, Venice, Bologna and Florence. Milan, with up to five daily flights; Rome, which will increase from 32 to 37 weekly frequencies compared to last summer; and Venice, with 25 weekly frequencies (five more than in 2022), are the cities where the Spanish airline has deployed its greater capacity in the country.

In total, in August, the busiest month, the carrier will programme 127 weekly frequencies from Italy to Madrid, compared to 105 last year and at the same level as in 2019.

The flight schedules, with several daily flights from many destinations, such as Rome, Milan or Venice, allow the passengers to connect with the long-haul network of Iberia.
