The leaders of the United States Central Command (Centcom) would have transferred Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor fighter jets to the Middle East this week. The goal of the US military would be to counter the "unsafe and unprofessional behavior" by Russian military aircraft in Syria. This is what the US television station "CNN" reports, quoting internal American defense sources.

The actions "of the Russian Armed Forces are not what we expect from a professional air force. Their regular violation of the agreed airspace de-conflict measures increases the risk of escalations or miscalculations", explains the Centcom commander, General Michael Erik Kurilla, speaking of "aggressive flights" from Moscow.
